A Quick Guide to Reiki(Reiki Practitioner Rooms located in Melbourne)
Reiki does all of this, as well as just providing a
relaxing break and a time for stillness, some ‘me time’,
and space for you to reconnect to the deeper dimensions
of reality that we often forget are there, because we
are so caught up in the material fast paced world of the
21st century. Reiki promotes healing and change in all
areas of your life and is a deeply rewarding path of
transformation. What is Reiki? Reiki is universal energy. Known in some cultures as chi, prana and qi, it is the force that permeates everything in the universe, and keeps us interconnected through the unified field. Have you ever seen the tiny globules of light in the sky on a clear day? The universal energy field is all around us and connects us all at the deepest level. Everyone has their own unique energy system which is sometimes referred to as their vibration. Your energy system integrates through your body on four different levels: the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. Your auric field has different layers to it which each correspond to more detailed aspects of your self. A reiki healing channels universal energy throughout the body and your energy system, bringing about a sense of deep relaxation and inner peace as it clears blocked energy pathways and lifts away unwanted patterns, revitalising the system and allowing the body to heal. Energetic imbalances in particular areas of your life are addressed during a healing. Unwanted patterns are promoted to the conscious level so they can be lifted and healed. Reiki corrects and channels energy throughout the body, whilst also promoting the relaxation response so the body can work to achieve homeostasis. How does a session work? A reiki healing is very relaxing and people enjoy them immensely. At the practitioner rooms located in Melbourne, you arrive and lay on a massage table (fully clothed), whilst I facilitate the hands-on-healing and channel reiki energy throughout your body and auric field. The healing is performed using the western positions with the laying-on-of-hands technique. There is also relaxing music and the space is intentionally designed and energetically cleared to help you rest and achieve stillness for a deeply fulfilling experience. You don't have to do anything other than lay there and enjoy your healing. Afterwards we have a short consultation in which we can talk about anything that I discovered during the healing. This is usually things like certain areas of the body taking more or less energy than normal, and any imbalances I may have picked up on and how these may relate to certain areas of your life. You can also share your own experience with me if you want and we can talk about any intuitive guidance you may have received during the treatment. What does Reiki energy feel like? Everyone experiences reiki subjectively and each healing is different. Sometimes you can feel warmth and tingles pulsating through you, other times you might feel dreamy and sleepy (this is because your brain waves are slowed down). Other times, you may experience rapid thought movement or surreal images and emotional release such as crying or even laughter. Rest assured that this is all part of the healing process. The one thing that every healing does have in common is that is always a deeply relaxing experience that allows you to reconnect with the spiritual aspects of your life and self.
